You can still be a muslim (i assume that because of your name) but don’t worry too much about nudity. God is not going to punish you just because silly stuff like looking at a naked model. We as an artist need to learn anatomy to become good at drawing figures.<\/p>\n

An architect needs to learn the basic structure of how buildings are made before he can design a house. Like wise with the human form you need to know how we are formed, how the muscles react to the different positions the bones take. The muscles have an affect on the skin how the body looks when it bends, twists, or leans. as an artist you need to learn how to build.
\nI’ve not read a lot of the Koran but I have read the Bible. The Bible doesn’t shy away from nudity or sex, in fact it is very open and honest about the good and not so good of both and it’s not written about in shameful tones. Man (as in humanity) had always made it something to be shameful of or glorified. It is simply a fact of life… It is how “we” view it. If you are looking at life models with a view to better understand your craft, how the body moves, how we are wonderfully made…or are you letting yourself ‘get off’ on it? I mean no disrespect.<\/p>\n
